Bootlegged at Storan

This nice "bootleg" video popped up on YouTube. It's from our show at Storan, Gothenburg, on August 13th. The song is My Pretty Little Head from our album Facts and Fabrications, and the quality of the clip is actually pretty good. Thanks to Linda Emanuelsson, whoever you are!

Practice your Swedish

Now here is an excellent opportunity to practice your Swedish. The first few comments on the Tram Session video:

"Holy jisses. Det här var underbart bra på hundra olika sätt. Tack!"

"Jädrar vilket drag! Helt härligt!"

Check it out for yourself. Anna and Jerry did a really fine job shooting the whole thing. As the Fox anchor would say: keep fucking that chicken!

Watch our Tram Session!

A while ago we recorded a "tram session", i.e. we performed This City Is Not For Me on a tram in Gothenburg, while the tram session team (Anna Flytström and Jerry Boman) recorded the whole thing. The clip is now up on thetramsessions.se (via YouTube), but of course we'll let you see it right away. Enjoy:

A cancelled rehearsal is also a rehearsal

Due to illness and other lame excuses, today's SFB-rehearsal ended up in the pub instead. Which wasn't too bad an alternative... ;)

While we're finishing our drinks, why don't you take the chance to vote for your favourite SFB-song in the poll on the right hand side?

Have a relaxing Sunday night.

Who's Vic Fury?

As previously announced, the winner of the Magical Machines remix contest is the "Vic Fury remix". "So who the hell is this Vic Furu guy anyway", you may ask. Well, here he is:
Jon Eriksson, aka Vic Fury is a Swedish musician - first and foremost a jazz drummer - who's started venturing into remixing.
- I hadn't even heard the original song when I started doing the remix, but I liked the vocals, he says. Maybe that was a good thing, he continues, since my version is pretty different to the album track.
It sure is, but in a really great way. Jon calls it an italo disco version, and there is definitely a Pet Shop Boys element to it as well. Sooo 80's. Don't you love it?

The track will be up on Spotify and online stores in a little while, we'll get back to you on the date. In the meantime, check out Jon's Myspace profile.

There's an interview with Jon up on the Songbox site as well (in the news section). In Swedish, though.

Spotified

Been running Spotify on my iPhone all week, it's truly amazing. If you have the chance, just go for it! The premium fee is a steal, considering the vast Spotify database and the fact that you can sync over 3000 tracks for offline listening.

Boy, do I sound like an advertisment... :D

Anyway, don't forget that our debut album is up on Spotify. You can find the link over to the right. Thanks for listening!

And the winner is...

The remix competition has been settled. (A long time ago, actually, we're just late blogging about it.) The winning remix is "Magical Machines - Vic Fury Remix". You'll get to hear it soon, plus you'll get to know a little bit more about the man behind it.

Thanks to all who participated! It was a blast listening through all the remixes, good work!
